About Us

Tayonna Jackson, a local artist in Baltimore who performs under the stage name TayyBandz, noticed that young people did not feel like they had a safe space to express their creativity and realized that something needed to change. Be You Youth Talent Showcase is a series of showcases that provide paid opportunities for youth artists to perform in Baltimore. Youth are provided with opportunities to network, gain exposure, and experience.

Thanks to the help of HeartSmiles, Inc.’s mentors like Mrs. Cheryl and her closest advisors like Mrs. Quicha who are in her professional circle, she is able to keep the youth entertained, be extra vigilant to maintain crowd control, make sure that her events are held in accessible locations, and continue to keep both her performers and the continuously growing audience safe.
With some up and coming local artists BeYOU gives each artist near or far the opportunity to showcase their talent, while not worrying about violence and negative vibes.

What began as a modest gathering has blossomed into a growing movement.
